Upcoming events, volunteer opportunities or organizations YOU should be involved with:

  • Thinkery Austin – Job opportunity for teachers!  Thinkery is looking for tech savvy individuals for two part-time educator positions. The Technology Educator will help to launch the Thinkery’s new program, EdExchange, and is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of technology-focused lessons at schools, libraries, and community sites around Austin. The Technology Educator will work closely with teachers, librarians, and educators to implement and facilitate technology lessons in those sites.   • Startup Weekend Education – Register now!  Event will take place July 25th-27th, 2014.  Contact seanbduff@gmail.com for more info.
  • StemEd Labs – Ripal Nathuji, EdTech Austin member and contributor, began this non-profit in 2014 to help provide more access to CS Education in the central Texas region.  Check them out!
  • Volunteerspot – We heard from Volunteerspot at our April meetup, so check them out here!
  • EdTech Austin Facebook group – We’ll use this space to communicate with each other by posting jobs, opportunities, or other important things happening in the world of EdTech.  Join us!
